We believe that we have three important roles in serving the immigration needs of our corporate clientele.
Role #1: Informed, Responsible Legal Advice and Counsel
We seek to provide the highest level of substantive legal advice. As a firm, we focus exclusively on immigration law and even within this area, most of our work concerns immigration based upon employment. We serve corporate clients located throughout the United States, and our primary interface is generally with HR representatives and/or in-house counsel. We have a duty to provide the most current, insightful legal analysis, and to explain thoroughly to our clientele the background reasoning to our legal opinions. We honor and adhere to all applicable ethical requirements for the practice of law, including a fundamental commitment to a duty of loyalty and confidentiality to our clients.
Role #2: Manner of Delivering Legal Services
We try very hard to work in close partnership with our corporate clientele. Immigration law can be complex and frustrating, particularly given tight time deadlines and the stress levels oftentimes experienced by your foreign employees. We try to be accessible and courteous, and to provide clear, written explanations of the course of any given case. We work diligently to keep all parties up to date on all aspects of a case, which we think is not only good legal practice, but also serves to lessen considerably the anxiety level of our clients. In short, our delivery of services is characterized by: easy access to attorneys; timely and courteously delivered legal services; written explanations of case progress.
Role #3: Corporate Compliance Obligations
We are very committed to ensuring that our corporate clientele maintain adequate compliance programs. The various U.S. government agencies have broad audit powers, and we expect in the future – particularly if Comprehensive Immigration Reform becomes enacted – that we will see a substantially greater number of audits and workplace compliance actions. The process of compliance begins at the very inception of the case, and our role is to guide our corporate clientele through the labyrinth of immigration laws and procedures, explain the risks and exposures, and to then call attention to creating an adequate program of legal compliance that will enable our corporate clientele to undertake the immigration process with confidence and in a fully legally compliant manner.
Again, we invite you to explore our website and we hope that the information presented here provides a solid basis for ultimately developing a professional relationship. We look forward to hearing from you.
